How It Works

1. Create Your Dog’s Detailed Profile: Begin by entering comprehensive information about your dog including breed (or mix), exact age, current weight, activity level (sedentary, moderate, active, very active), body condition score (underweight, ideal, overweight), and any health concerns such as allergies, digestive issues, or joint problems. This detailed profile ensures portion recommendations match your specific dog’s needs.

2. Review Personalized Recipe Recommendations: Ollie’s algorithm, developed with board-certified veterinary nutritionists, analyzes your dog’s profile to recommend appropriate recipes and calculate exact daily caloric needs. Review the suggested recipes (Beef, Chicken, Turkey, or Lamb) and their ingredient lists. You can select one recipe or rotate between multiple options for variety.

3. Choose Full Ollie or Mixed Feeding Plan: Decide whether to feed 100% Ollie meals or combine with kibble for mixed feeding. Full Ollie provides maximum fresh food benefits but costs more. Mixed feeding (50% Ollie, 50% quality kibble) reduces cost while still providing fresh nutrition benefits. Ollie adjusts portion calculations based on your selection.

4. Set Delivery Frequency: Choose how often you receive shipments, every 2, 4, or 8 weeks depending on your freezer space and feeding plan. More frequent deliveries mean fresher food but require more handling. Less frequent deliveries save effort but require adequate freezer storage for larger shipments.

5. Receive Temperature-Controlled Delivery: Your first box arrives in insulated packaging with dry ice to maintain frozen temperatures during transit. Deliveries typically arrive within 3-5 business days. Ollie sends tracking information and delivery alerts so you can bring the package inside promptly.

6. Store and Organize in Freezer: Transfer meal packs immediately to your freezer upon delivery. Start with 25% Ollie mixed with 75% current food for days 1-2, increase to 50/50 for days 3-4, then 75/25 for days 5-6, reaching 100% Ollie by day 7. Dogs with sensitive stomachs may need a slower 10-14 day transition.

8. Thaw and Serve Daily Portions: Move the next day’s meal pack from freezer to refrigerator the night before to thaw gradually. Thawed food stays fresh in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Serve at room temperature or slightly warmed for best palatability. Many dogs become enthusiastic eaters once transitioned to fresh food.
