Spellbinders Paper Arts is an established name in die-cutting and papercraft, trading from Phoenix, Arizona since the early 2000s. Its own site says “since 2003”, while its BBB record gives a business start date of 2004.

Rather than one craft box, it runs nine separate monthly clubs, each focused on a single product type: dies, embossing folders, stencils, stamps, foiling plates. Members can join one, several, or take the All-Clubs Crate that bundles everything.

Enrolment is open only between the 6th and 27th of each month, and memberships bill on the 5th.

The clubs also have one structural restriction the marketing does not lead with: skipping a month is not available. The FAQ states it plainly and offers cancelling and rejoining as the alternative.

What Sets Them Apart

The specialisation is real. Most craft subscriptions send an assortment; Spellbinders sends one well-made tool a month in a category you have chosen, with company-stated values of $30 for a small die set and $40 for a large one against prices of $17.50 and $27.50.

That only works if you already own a die-cutting machine, which the clubs assume and do not include.
