Wickbox was founded in 2015 by Scarlett Sturgis, who combined her lifelong love of candles and home decor with her entrepreneurial spirit. After graduating college, Scarlett lived in Europe and worked as a corporate event planner, where she had opportunities to travel the world. Through these experiences, her sense of style and appreciation for affordable luxury deepened.
Scarlett built Wickbox from the ground up, leading fulfillment workflows, vendor partnerships, customer experience, and brand alignment. Her vision was to create a subscription service that brought the luxury candle boutique experience directly to subscribers’ homes, featuring candles made with lead-free wicks and eco-friendly, handcrafted waxes.
