TacPack has traded from Columbus, Ohio since 27 October 2016. Its Better Business Bureau file lists it under three names: Tacpack, Tacpack LLC, and The Brass Tacks Corporation LTD.
The product is a monthly box of tactical and everyday carry gear, sold in three tiers at widely different price points, with a stated emphasis on equipment that gets used rather than novelty items.
The positioning is narrower than most tactical subscriptions. TacPack aims explicitly at AR15 owners and people who carry daily, and says it “hardly ever sends swag”, meaning it avoids the patches, stickers and branded trinkets that pad out competing boxes.
The three-tier structure is unusually wide. The gap between the entry and top tiers is more than $100 a month, which makes this one of the few gear subscriptions that can be tried cheaply and then scaled up.
Shipping is included at every tier, which is rare in this category and worth something against competitors that add it at checkout.
The independent evidence here is thin rather than damning. There is one Better Business Bureau complaint on file across three years, and it was not answered, which is what holds the grade down.
