BARK was founded in 2012 with a simple mission: to make dogs happy. What started as BarkBox - a monthly subscription of toys and treats - has grown into a comprehensive dog product company serving millions of dogs across North America.

Founded by Matt Meeker, Henrik Werdelin, and Carly Strife, BARK began when the founders noticed their own dogs deserved better products. They launched BarkBox from a small apartment and quickly discovered they’d tapped into something special: a community of dog lovers who wanted unique, quality products for their furry friends.
